TEXTURED
 |
Also referred to as "Trackless" and "boucle" as
well as "frize". The term describes a traditional " cut pile "
carpeting that has been subjected to " yarn crimping" to achieve a virtual
non-directional pile thus helping to hide foot-prints or vacuum marks.
Textured Saxony refers to a looser constructed, casual look, while Textured plush is more
dense with a finer finish and a more formal look. "Frize" is also a textured
saxony, but it has considerably more "twist" in the yarn, which lends itself to
heavy traffic and optimum performance. Textured pile carpeting may be used anywhere in the
home or office. Performance depends on type of yarn selected, density, pile height, and
gauge, or stitches per inch. The beauty of this particular type of carpeting depends
greatly on the type of yarn selected, such as Branded vs. unbranded, luster level of
specific yarns, and the "hand" which is the "feel" of the carpet, as
well as the dying method used and number of shearings to "finish" the carpet.
We will help guide you in selecting the right textured carpeting for your particular need.
